and it all started with my first engagement at the State Theatre in Linz (Austria), where I played the role of “Pepper” in the musical “Annie”.
After a 3-year musical education at the Stage School in Hamburg (Germany) I moved to the “city that never sleeps”-New York. I was accepted to and studied “Method Acting” at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Upon completion of the 3-year training program, I was cast as “Vanda” in “Venus in Fur” under the direction of acting legend George Loros at the Marylin Monroe Theater in NYC.
A highlight of my career was booking and playing the lead role in a television show for Oxygen/ NBC Universal where I took on and performed the the role of singer Adrienne Bailon.
In Los Angeles, I continued and strengthened my improvisational training at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) and I was fortunate enough to get to know and deeply understand the world of multi camera sitcoms through “Lesly Kahn’s Comedy Training”.
At the Complex Theatre in Hollywood I debuted as “Doris” in the revived Broadway production of “The Owl & and the Pussycat”. I receive fine recognition and heaps of praise in the Los Angeles theater scene from critics across the board.
Most recently, I shot “I am the Night” for Warner Brothers, where I had the opportunity to work with Chris Pine and Patty Jenkins.
Currently I am preparing for the role of “Annika”, in Astrid Lindgren’s “Pippi plunders the Christmas tree” and will be appearing in several theaters throughout Austria starting this Christmas (if Corona allows).
I am a member of Sag-Aftra and Actors Equity and a proud Greencard holder.
In my acting, I try to stay calm on the surface, but underneath I always pedal like a duck. You can’t see these layers on a stage, but the camera sees every “fidgeter” I do or don’t do. (: Whatever is deep inside of me and makes me what I am.
I love to make people laugh. The trick is to tell them jokes against themselves. Man is already a funny creature as long as he doesn’t take himself too seriously. I think there is a fine line between comedy and tragedy, humor and pain.
I think music in itself possesses and grants us invaluable healing properties. It is an explosive expression of humanity. It is something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we come from, everyone loves and appreciates music. It touches us more deeply, more emotionally, where words alone sometimes cannot.
For me, dance is the universal message of a people’s joy, where it comes from. It is the expression of what we humans feel, no matter what culture or country we come from. Dancing is, next to music, the strongest means of expression of the human soul.
Since I can write I have been keeping a diary. When I speak, my thoughts can find expression, but when I write I can give my heart a voice. From this my great passion “writing” developed. For my first concept I already received several awards.
My first book “The Naked Truth” is currently in the process of being completed and distributed, in which I write about people, the soul and the mystical coincidences or fates that have shaped and continue to shape my life.
